Family Club

Dundee - Scotland

Family Club, run by ScrapAntics, brings together local Scottish and New Scot/refugee families to connect through shared creativity and learning.

We have faciliated a number of projects for the group, including a range of in-person and online workshops exploring painting, collage, sculpture, printmaking and crafts with themes of nature, identity and what “home” means to them.

Projects included collaborative mural boards, an online exhibition for Refugee Week, and a moving installation titled Pockets of Imagination & Creativity, created using recycled materials.

Working with children aged 4–12 and their families, these sessions created welcoming, supportive spaces for learning, expression and connection. Participants developed new creative skills, built friendships, and contributed to a body of work that celebrates the diversity and imagination of the families involved.

We’re grateful to ScrapAntics, The National Lottery Community Fund, the European Union Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, the Scottish Government, and all the families and partners who made these projects possible.
