Collective City

We were invited by ScrapAntics and Dundee & Angus College’s to work with students from the “After Hours” group, to create a large banner reflecting experiences of lockdown. This went on to be exhibited across nine green spaces in Dundee as part of Green Health Week 2021.

Students produced individual watercolour illustrations reflecting their reality of lockdown - ranging from a giant walking boot and a computer game console to a devil cat and a variety of abstract works. These pieces were then scanned and combined into a single digital composition forming the final banner design.

The project celebrates individual perspectives coming together to form a collective visual expression, bringing together a wide range of voices and experiences into one unified piece.
