Reflections
RRS Discovery - Dundee
Reflections was a collaborative project led by ScrapAntics, who gathered oral histories from local people exploring their connection to the River Tay and how this evolved during lockdown.
We were commissioned to create a site-specific response inspired by these stories...
Firstly the design of a large banner, brought to life by textile artist Rhona Jack, which was displayed on the historic RRS Discovery in Dundee. Then secondly, a spoken word piece which was performed on film.
The work responds to themes of memory, place and personal experience, translating spoken narratives into visual and audio forms.
